Ratas De Dos Patas is a collective of four boss womxn who in have taken the Chicago improv scene by storm! Abigail Pinon, Kendra Jamaica, Jessi Realzola, and Marilet Martinez are fierce Latinxs that bring comedy, cultura, and corazon to the stage! In the short time they have been together (well because does 2020 even count?), they have had multiple successful runs at the Annoyance Theatre and were nominated for Outstanding Improv Ensemble by the Alliance of Latinx Theatre Artists. They have performed in the Melanin Festival at Second City, a sold-out crowd at Steppenwolf’s Lookout Series: Las Locas presents Look Out for Locas, and at Femprovisor Fest 2019! Always looking to highlight diverse talent, RDDP intentionally curates their shows to feature POC, LGBTQ, and differently-abled performers. In 2019, they produced a sold out, standing room only Dia De Los Muertos show combining cultural ritual with improv and a Loteria fundraiser for the Chicago Period Project. During the pandemic, they also produced a Dia De Los Muertos short film with proceeds going to Black Lives Matter and Raices.
