LAS LOCAS COMEDY RAISES MONEY FOR PILSEN FOOD PANTRY

On Saturday, November 21st, 2020, Las Locas Comedy hosted, ¡The Almost Done With 2020 Show!, a live virtual comedy show that benefited Pilsen Food Pantry. Due to the generosity of our show attendees, we were able to make a donation of $375 on behalf of Las Locas Comedy. This donation will go to support the immediate needs of Pilsen area residents this holiday season.

Las Locas Comedy is grateful to our comics and fans for their continued support as we navigate the online performance space. Now more than ever, we need the shared laughs and feeling of community our show creates. We also give a special thank you to Pilsen Food Pantry and FigeuroaWu Family Foundation for their support. Please support our comics who performed, Irma Ruiz from Texas, Natasha Samreny from Florida and Chicago natives Jess Martinez, Victoria Vincent, Patti Vasquez and show host Janice V Rodriguez.

LAS LOCAS COMEDY AWARDED BEST BIPOC COMEDY SHOW AT LADY LAUGHS COMEDY SUMMIT

Las Locas Comedy is honored to be the recipient of the 2020 Lady Laughs Comedy Awards Best BIPOC Show award.  As part of the Lady Laughs Comedy Summit on November 7th, 2020, the Lady Laughs Comedy Awards were given to the top female identifying/queer/non-binary/trans comedians across the USA who are making an impact on stage and in their communities. This award is a great recognition of the hard work of the past four years that went into creating Las Locas Comedy productions and developing a mission to support Latina/Latinx comedic talent by providing live and online platforms for talent development, Latinx focused media and performance opportunities.

This award is a highlight of a very busy November which includes the season finale of Las Locas Live and  our fundraiser for Pilsen Food Pantry, ¡The Almost Done With 2020 Show! which goes live on Saturday 11/21/20 at 8pm CST. Tickets are still available via the Tickets menu link above.

Las Locas Comedy will forever be grateful for the recognition by our peers of our efforts to diversify the comedic landscape while creating inclusive opportunities for Latina/x performers.

OUR 1ST ZOOM SHOW WAS FUEGO!

Latinx Online Comedy

When life gives you a worldwide pandemic- well you just adapt! I never thought we would a) do a live comedy show online and b) actually have people like it! But we did both on our first live Zoom show!

We’re still feeling all the feels from our first online live comedy show- ¡The Still On Lockdown Show!  on August 1st, 2020. You didn’t even have to get dressed! The online Zoom room was over the top fuego 🔥 and it was an EXTRA loca night of comedy from your favorite Latina/Latinx comedians and our honorary #locas4life.  A special thank you to our performers, and event guests for their laughter and interaction. You really made our first online show a success!

To all of our Loca fans who have come to see our show again and brought someone new…or to our newcomers…we’re so happy to have had you at the show! We couldn’t have done it without our LOCA performers. Please follow them on social media so you can see their next performance!

To all of our Loca fans who have come to see our show again and brought someone new…or to our newcomers…we’re so happy to have had you at the show! We couldn’t have done it without our LOCA performers. Please follow them on social media and support their projects!
